In June 2023, MDSC, in partnership with Omar’s World of Comics and PwC Boston, was proud to hold the third installment of the Your Next Star (YNS) Employment Academy. Over the course of the four-day academy, the six participants — Humza, Aram, Jillian, Claire, Tommy and Emma — discussed and worked on a whole host of skills: how to problem solve and handle stressful situations at work; how to build a resume and be a contributing member of a team; exploring why people work and mapping out their own vision boards. The final day, held at Omar’s World of Comics & Bistro in Lexington, was especially exciting as Omar Masood himself, the company’s president, gave a personal tour of his space, and participants got to visit and try out the store’s Virtual Reality center.
