Abe Walters of MA Regional Employment Collaboratives introduces the forum

Partnering with the Massachusetts Regional Employment Collaboratives, the MDSC this June took our Your Next Star employment campaign on the road. In the early June, we launched our “Diversify Your Workforce” forums to introduce employers to the benefits of hiring qualified candidates with disabilities.

And, with experts speakers from a range of fields, we showed them how to do it! The pilot “Diversify Your Workforce” forums took place at the RJ Kelly office building in Burlington June 2 and at the Milford National Bank Headquarters June 9th to rooms full of employers.

State Senator Michael Barrett and state representatives Kevin Kuros and Jeffrey Roy spoke about how the event connects to what bills and initiatives they are working on at Beacon Hill.

Disability Attorneys Kevin M. Sibbernsen of Jackson Lewis and Robert Kilroy of Mirick O’Connell both explained the specifics of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
